ANZAC INQUIRY

Today is Room 22, we did a small Inquiry on Anzac Day. We learnt about what ANZAC Day stands for. We looked at images of the War. We researched information on our device. We listened to an ANZAC song. I shared with the children a small study on Lloyd Trigg, who was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery. The Highest medal of Honour. This man is close to my heart as he is my Grandfathers cousin. We then did a culminating task of choosing adjectives to go inside a poppy. Adjectives to describe the ANZAC soldiers. We also analysed the Poem- Lest we Forget and glued it behind our Poppies. Finally I read the children a story about the animals at war. In particular Perilous Jack one and two! Here are the finished poppies
